The Preserve is a cooperative effort between the Hart County Historical Society, the Civil War Preservation Trust, and private landowners who care about their heritage and their community and have donated preservation and conservation easements on their property to protect it for furture generations.

The Preserve is nonprofit, non-governmental, and relies on the the goodwill, cooperation, and volunteer efforts of its friends to carry out its mission to preserve, educate, and contribute to the economic vitality of the community.
